Probably the most important question that we can ask, is, "How can I know for sure, that I have eternal life?" In other words, when I die, physically and my body is no longer breathing, what happens?
God's word, the Holy Bible tells us in 1 John 5:13, " I write this to you that you may know that you have eternal life..."
Again, in the Gospel of John, Chapter 17 and verse 3, Jesus in his final prayer before he was crucified for all the sins of mankind, spoke these words, "And this is eternal life that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent."And so we see that eternal life is truly knowing the only true God Almighty and his precious son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. But how can we know that we are saved?
Paul tells us in Romans 10:1, "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them, is that they might be saved...
vs. 8 But what does the word say? The word is near thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart; that is the word of faith which we preach...
vs. 9 That if you will confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved ...
You see when we truly confess with our lips and believe in our heart that Jesus is Lord, we are essentially saying that Jesus Christ is now the absolute authority of our life. It means that he is in control, and that we have relinquished all control, all authority and all ownership to the rest of our life, and we are trusting Jesus to guide us, lead us and show us what he wants for us from now through eternity.
This can only be done when we truly reach repentance with respect to our individual life. Repentance essentially means that we change our mind about the course of our life. We recognize that we have reached an understanding in our heart that we have a problem. Our problem is that we cannot fix ourselves, and there are things in our lives that we continue to do, that we know are wrong and there is no other hope for this changing, except through God's grace. We ultimately come to the conclusion that yes we are bound in sin, and there is nothing we can do, except fall on our knees and ask God to forgive us.
Here is the Gospel! Here is the Good News!!!
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, God tells us in 1 John 1:9.
And so, the bottom-line is that we can know for sure that we have eternal life, based upon the Holy Word of God, that comes through God's Holy Bible. We can know God himself, and Jesus Christ, whom he sent to be the fullness of himself on this earth 2000 years ago! Jesus ultimately took our place on an old wooden cross to die and give up his life as a sacrifice for your sin and mine. The story of the cross is more alive today than ever, and if you want to be saved and know that you have eternal life then do this...
Cry out to God! Acknowledge and confess your sin! ( i.e. that you have issues and conduct that you cannot change in your life, as hard as you try) And so we all have fallen short of God's perfect glory, and have sinned, and we all need to recognize, admit and confess our sin. Once we have reached true and genuine repentance and confession of our sin, and asked God to forgive us. He does! And then, when we now truly confess Jesus as the new Lord of our life, and that he now has absolute authority and control from this point on, and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, and based on God's Holy Word, we are now saved! Hallelujah!

Helping pastors proclaim God's grace... which is the essence of the Gospel is our focus. Helping pastors equip the saints to proclaim the Gospel is our hope. Watching the eyes of multitudes in the valley of decision become opened, turning from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God and receiving forgiveness of sins and a place among those sanctified by faith in Jesus is our prayer. God has given us a vision to provide a a place for pastors and their wives to come for rest, encouragement and teaching, so in turn they can return to their churches and ready the Bride for Jesus’ return. Please pray for our ministry, and let us know how we can pray for you and help you.
